Visualfy - A Free Android Application For People With Hearing Loss
With the help of visual feedback, Visualfy is empowering people with hearing loss. Its DSS (Deaf Smart Space) system converts sound signals into visual signals, allowing deaf users to complete tasks and complete daily activities without difficulty. The DSS works on the Internet of Things (IoT) model. It also supports other Internet-connected devices such as a digital calendar. In order to develop a product that reaches a wider range of users, Visualfy has chosen to develop the product in Spain.
The program was developed with the support of the European Innovation Council's Programa Acelerador (ACE). Its mission is to build a world without barriers to everyday living for people with disabilities. The application is available in more than 20 languages and has a live Spanish call center. During emergencies, Visualfy's Spanish customer support team will assist users with personal visual assistance and sign language translations. This will improve real-time communication between people with disabilities and other people.
The goal of Visualfy is to build an inclusive technology company that reaches as many deaf people as possible. They are committed to hiring at least 50% deaf people to be able to provide their services. In addition, they produce all of their content in audiovisual subtitled format. In addition, they require that providers of their services duplicate their rate of people with disabilities on staff. The goal is to be an effective, profitable social impact enterprise. Companies with a purpose attract great talent, create value for investors, and improve the world at large.
